Technical Field Consultant - BVetMed
Frank emigrated to NZ in 1965 after two years in vet practice in the UK. Frank worked in Kaipara and Katikati before becoming the first vet to be stationed in Tolaga Bay.
Two years in Tonga as the Government vet followed before an unscheduled return to the UK. Frank returned to NZ in 1980, working in Oamaru as a meat vet, before returning to dairy practice in Matamata in 1984.
It wasn't long before he started to question the way the dairy industry was going, and started soil and fertiliser studies to investigate and deal with the poor nutrition, poor fertility and poor health in animals, humans and the environment. Frank has come to the conclusion that the system advocated by Abron is that which will solve those problems, and he is committed to sustainable practices in agriculture which he has recently used in Viet Nam developing a dairy industry.
Frank runs a few sheep and an extensive organic vegetable garden, plays tennis and runs with the Matamata Harriers. He enjoys reading and dabbling in several social issues.
