The Abron Farm Performance Consultancy: What we do for you

Stage One: Your first on-farm consultation

The first thing we do is make an effort to get to know your farming or growing operation through a farm discover day. Generally we do this by sending one of our specialised consultants out to spend at least half a day on your farm.

During this visit, your consultant will ask you a wide range of questions designed to help us get a better understanding of what needs to improve on your farm and assess your farm's potential, from increased pasture growth to improved animal health and production levels, for example.

This is also a great time for your consultant to let you in on a few of our core philosophies that will help us make improvements on your farm. After talking to you, your Abron consultant will then conduct a visual soil assessment, farm observation and run soil analyses and herbage tests.

At the end of your first consultation you get the choice of two options:

1. Your consultant can review your notes and make a standard product recommendation (much like a traditional fertiliser rep) OR:
2. Your consultant can develop a comprehensive farm nutrition plan tailored with your specific goals in mind (including a full nutrition budget). Following that, your consultant will help you to test, measure and rework your programme throughout the year so that you continue to get improvements in results. This is done through a series of bi-monthly farm visits, phone calls and our very own online farm results tracker: Abron Farmtracker™

Growing nutrient dense, high Brix pasture and crops that improve overall farm performance is challenging. It can be a steep learning curve and requires specialist support. Developing a detailed farm plan that sets out the key objectives wanting to be reached is essential to lifting overall farm performance. Abron has the greatest experience and best depth of expertise in this arena and the consultancy is designed around achieving the goals within the farm plan.
